Update: All Tertiary Institutions In Abia State To Resume Monday, October 26th 2020

 

All tertiary institutions in Abia State have been directed by the State Government of the state to reopen for academic activities with effect from Monday, October 26, 2020.

The Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu issued the approval through the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) on Monday.

He further informed heads of all tertiary institutions to ensure total compliance with the laid down COVID-19 protocols in line with the guidelines submitted to them for the reopening of their institutions.

Meanwhile, we had earlier reported that the Abia State Polytechnic, Aba has announced their resumption date, slated for Wednesday, October 21st, 2020. The management of the institution has further disclosed that it has fumigated the premises of the institution ahead of the resumption of students.

The Institution said that it carried out the fumigation exercise in line with the directives of the State government to curtail further spreads of the coronavirus pandemic.
